Visit Norway is the official travel guide to Norway,
with versions in a number of languages. Some regions also have online guides to local activities and accommodation.
Ferries
At present (2009) there is no direct service from England to Norway and most routes involve transit through Denmark.
Ferry routes and operators seem to change from one season to the next, so it take a bit of investigation to find the right options.

Attractions
Gudvangen (Nærøyfjord)
This branch of the Sognefjord is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is incredibly
narrow in places. A ferry service runs along the fjord from Lærdal and Kaupanger to Gudvangen.
Flåm Mountain Railway
Scenic railway climbing from the fjord at Flåm through ravines and tunnels to the mountain station at Myrdal, on the main Bergen to Oslo line.
Vemork Industrial Museum
Museum in the old hydro-electric power station, covering both industrial and atomic weapons. This power station was key to the wartime production of heavy water for the Nazi atomic fission research. The destruction of this plant by the Norwegian Resistance and British forces forms the basis of films such as "The Heroes of Telemark".
Telemark Canal
Waterway formed by lakes and connecting canal sections, stretching 105 kilometres from Skien to Dalen.
